Please note this year’s special terms
- Please note that the Gala dinner (part of the “full conference” package) is now fully subscribed. Registrations for the “academic conference” (without the Gala dinner) remain open.
- The restaurant is in an aquarium that has mirrors on the floor in some places to create an immersive experience. Please consider this while deciding what to wear. We do not impose a dress code for the dinner.
- For student Full Conference registrations: due to the reduced price of registration for students, Swiss tax law required that the component of the registration fee that covers gala diner appears as a separate line on these invoices. The cost of the gala dinner therefore appears on student full conference invoices as ‘Full conference – Networking Event’ (it is not separately listed on other invoices).
Student subsidy
Students (mostly doctoral students) make up approx. 25% of previous SEFI conference attendees. Pursuing such professional development opportunities can be financially challenging for many students across the globe. We recognize that the cost associated with attending conferences (including registration, travel, accommodation etc.) can deter the very individuals who stand to benefit most from these experiences – our future leaders and innovators.
Our Initiative:
With a commitment to fostering education and reducing financial barriers, we are pleased to announce that students attending SEFI 2024 can avail of an automatic subsidy. We have allocated CHF 12000.00 towards this subsidy which allows us to offer registration to all students at below cost price.
Logistics:
This subsidy is automatically available to all undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students currently enrolled in any accredited institution. There is no application process, however, students are required to submit a copy of their student ID card OR an official certificate of their student status during the registration process. We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with peers, industry leaders, and groundbreaking ideas.
